Keith “Buck” Cherry is an American bowhunter, Television Host and Texas oilman. He originally gained fame as a motorcycle road racer and team owner. Mentoring Ben Spies, World Superbike Champion and Moto GP Winner. From this venture he embarked on a career as a television bowhunter and is known for his television bowhunting adventures seen on Sportsman Channel and Pursuit Network. He has taken African Lion and Cape Buffalo with bow.
Early Life
Cherry was raised in Longview, Texas. The son of Norma Jean a stay at home mom and Jessie Thomas Cherry an ARCO Oil & Gas District Supervisor. The third of four children, two brothers and a sister: Don, Kay and Joe.
Cherry’s Outdoor Career began early in Life. At age 15 Cherry began duck hunting. A friend Gary Walker, had access to good duck sloughs and after a few outings with Gary, Cherry was hooked on ducks. Attended Longview High School, Cherry excelled in baseball and basketball. Graduated High School in 1976. Cherry went to Kilgore College as a walk on candidate in basketball.
Keith Cherry’s love was the outdoors and duck hunting. After attending University of Texas and Texas A&M he would quit college and begin to work odd jobs with a goal to be a professional duck man.
Career
Cherry moved to Dallas after leaving Texas A&M in 1986 to pursue a career in professional racquetball. After attaining top 5 status in his home state of Texas, Cherry retired from racquetball. Cherry then started his own motorcycle roadracing team. Cherry gained national recognition for his development phenomenon racer Ben Spies. Ben went on to win three straight AMA superbike titles, World Superbike Champion 2009 and Moto GP Winner.
In 1996 Cherry began Archery hunting and has taken over 50 whitetail and most of the north american Game. As well as many of the African Continent Animals.
Cherry turned this passion into a television series on pursuit in 2009 and later in 2011 on Sportsman Channel. Now for 2015 he is back with Pursuit Network.

Married August 1997, to Darla Hopkins. One Child: Thomas.
